National Junior Honor Society
|
|||||||||
NJHS is a nationwide organization recognizing 7th and 8th grade middle school students, with a B+ grade average. Nominee applicants must also pass a faculty review committee, assessing them on character, leadership abilities, community service, and citizenship. The National Honor Society can entail life-long membership in high school and college, as students' progress through their educational careers. Last year the CCR-1 Chapter of NJHS again sponsored the largest blood drive in Clark County, two dances at the middle school, our second middle school food drive, and Valentine Carnation sales. We also maintain a middle school snack machine, a school supply sales cart, the raising and lowering of our building's flag and a multitude of individual service projects. There are nearly 50 members of NJHS at CCR-1 Middle School. The advisor for this organization is Katrina Nixon.
